Newsletter #11

When you learn that the flesh is your enemy and that being alone with God is not your enemy, mountains will move. You will see miracles manifest in your life.  Prayer strengthens you. When you pray you are strengthened to go through what God has called you to overcome.

Many people think that the power is more important than prayer, but there can be no power if there is no prayer. The power didn’t stop Paul from being shipwrecked. It didn’t stop Peter from going to jail. But the prayer gave them the strength to go through it. In the Book of Acts when Peter was put in jail the Church realised they needed to return to prayer. They prayed all night in agreement.  And through their prayers God opened the gates and released His angels and opened the prison doors for Peter. They were shocked when Peter arrived at the door because they underestimated the power of prayer. They didn’t believe it was him, instead they thought he was a ghost. If you spend time with God in prayer you will see miracles.

The Bible says that everybody has to take up their own cross and follow Him. You cannot pray the cross away, but once you are in the prayer closet He will empower you to go through the cross.  And you will testify with power and God will save souls because you have been prepared in your prayer closet. As a church we are not prepared for revival because there is no prayer in the closets. People like socialising and entertainment and a new method, but they don’t want to close the door and pray.

‘Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him: On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him: But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.’ • Job 23:8-10 (KJV).
